This is the Takashimaya branch of the well-known bookstore chain Kinokuniya. It is considered as the best place in Tokyo to shop for not only English manga but also other foreign books in general. It has an entire floor which is dedicated only for copies in English and some other languages such as French and German. This bookstore’s selection is the most extensive that you can find English manga in Tokyo. In addition, some popular titles are even available in this bookstore as bilingual comics. It is the perfect way for readers to learn Japanese in a fun and immersive way.

Shinjuku has two Kinokuniya bookstores, and Kinokuniya Shinjuku Honten is the chain’s main branch. It is a big shop with eleven floors, but in spite of its size, the Takashimaya branch is regarded to have a better collection of foreign language manga. However, if you want mainstream English manga titles, this branch’s offerings should suffice. Go to the 7th floor of the building to shop for Naruto, Doraemon, Slam Dunk, Sailor Moon, One Piece, etc…
